Fedora publishes system images for Amazon Web Services' (AWS) virtual machine platform, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), which allows one to create virtual machines in the cloud with very little effort.
These images, known as AMIs (Amazon Machine Images), are available in a variety of zones and architectures, and are identifiable by their unique identification number. This ID can then be utilized to locate and launch an image.
Fedora's EC2 images follow standard EC2 login conventions, meaning that root login is disabled, but sudo access is granted. The default username for the images is ec2-user.

ARM chips are the most widely-produced processor family in the world; they have historically been used in cell phones and embedded applications, and are increasingly used in tablet devices and low-power-consumption servers. The Fedora-ARM project is an initiative to bring Fedora to this processor family.

Fedora 18 GA Release Announcement
Note for Raspberry Pi users
Raspberry Pi support is not included in Fedora 18 GA because it does not meet the Fedora release guidelines. Specifically, the Raspberry Pi relies upon a custom kernel version, not upstream, as well as special GPU binary blobs which are not acceptable under the current firmware exception. Nonetheless, an unsupported "nightly" Fedora 18 snapshot is available.
The following images have been tested and are recommended for most users and include Versatile Express (QEMU), Trimslice (TEGRA), Beagleboard (OMAP3), Pandaboard (OMAP4) and GuruPlug (Kirkwood) based hardware platforms. For the whole list of images please visit all the prebuilt images for the Fedora 18 ARM GA release.
