Hello there, I am a Linux system and security engineer interested in safe programming languages and container focused operating systems.
Please see my [https://github.com/travier README on my GitHub profile] for more about me.

== Red Hat & Fedora CoreOS ==

I am currently a Red Hat and Fedora CoreOS engineer (see my [https://github.com/travier GitHub profile]).

CoreOS systems are all about running containers at scale with [https://kubernetes.io Kubernetes] distributions
([https://www.openshift.com OpenShift], [https://www.okd.io OKD], [https://typhoon.psdn.io Typhoon]) or on a single server with [https://podman.io podman].

== Fedora Kinoite (Fedora Silverblue variant) ==

Fedora Kinoite is a container focused desktop operating system featuring the [https://kde.org KDE Plasma desktop] and based on
[https://coreos.github.io/rpm-ostree/ rpm-ostree], [https://podman.io podman] and [https://flatpak.org Flatpak]. Fedora Kinoite is a variant of [https://silverblue.fedoraproject.org Fedora Silverblue].

Fedora Kinoite has been [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Fedora_Kinoite accepted as a change for the Fedora 35 release] and will be included soon in Rawhide. In the meantime, I maintain unofficial builds for Fedora Kinoite and other variants (XFCE, LXQt, Deepin, Mate and Pantheon). See
[https://fedoramagazine.org/discover-fedora-kinoite/ this Fedora Magazine article] and [https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/kinoite-a-kde-and-now-xfce-version-of-fedora-silverblue/147 this Fedora Discussion thread] for details.

== Flatpaks ==

To help Silverblue systems run applications in [https://flatpak.org Flatpaks], I am working on packaging as many
[https://kde.org/applications KDE applications] as possible in Flatpaks for [https://flathub.org/home Flathub] and Fedora (in progress, coming latter).
