Who are we?

Ambassadors are the representatives of Fedora to the public. Ambassadors have the purpose of ensuring that the public understand Fedora's principles, and know of the work that Fedora is doing. Additionally Ambassadors are responsible for helping to grow the contributor base, and to act as a liaison between other F/LOSS projects and the Fedora community.

What we do?

  • Organize Fedora Partipation at Events
  • Talk about the Fedora Four Foundations
  • Promote Fl/oss and other open Source projects
  • Demonstrate Fedora and other open source projects to the public
  • Promote Local Open Source User groups with talks etc...

Where are they?

Fedora Ambassadors are all over the world, as you can see from the following pages:

Meetings / Mailing list / IRC

Meetings Mailing list IRC
Regional meetings are very important to the project, because they allow local Ambassadors to communicate with each other. See the meetings page for details. The ambassadors is critical for collaboration. Please have a look at the mailing list guidelines. The #fedora-ambassadors[?] channel on IRC is the best place to go.
