Misc

  • gomix: i would like to know know how arrange our first event
  • tchung:
  • Basically, you propose it on the list first then post it on the wiki.
  • Then, make sure to attend the next meeting to present your event.
  • gomix: which kind of resouces can be provided by Fedora project ?
  • tchung: we can send you what we call "Schwag" including DVDs and T-shirts. (if available)
  • Ekushey: is there any fedora posters?
  • tchung: I'm sure fedora posters will be available as soon as "CoolStuff" store is ready.
  • SynTed: Apart from the coolStuff store wouldn't be good to have the poster in a digital format?
  • tchung: You know, I think we might have some from the past event in digital format. Check out "Presentation" wiki page.
  • SynTed: I have also seen some cool web banners about fedora on the net... we should create a wiki page with all these and the new ones we will create
  • tchung: Good idea. I say create a wiki page under your name. Then we can move it to official wiki page later on.
  • tchung: lxmaier, do you have any report on CoolStuff by any chance?
  • lxmaier: unfortunately not. i have had some dealings with the same vendor in my own job's context
  • Ekushey: is it possible to recieve any t-shirts now? we're planning to organize a workshop next month, and 2/3 would help
  • lxmaier: Ekushey: I am not sure it is possible. can you produce them locally and we will reimburse you?
  • lxmaier: Ekushey: I have not heard much about the Fedora Store from Greg, so I would assume that nothing is ready untli he says otherwise
  • gomix: quote : "To provide the Ambassadors with the necessary infrastructure to create their localized Fedora websites", how this works?
  • lxmaier: i don't think they meant that you will be provided a server and a domain for that
  • lxmaier: gomix: but you can use the wiki to build your own pages in your local language
  • lxmaier: gomix: you can use the content on fedoraproject.org to create your localized pages
  • SynTed: If any of the ambassadors needs any webspace i can provide some with unilimited email and mysql databases for their fedora website needs
  • gomix: guidelines four building the pages?, css ?
  • tchung: gomix, you might want to ask your qestion in the fedora-website-list
  • lxmaier: i have worked on developing a look-and-feel for the new fedora pages
  • lxmaier: i have the graphics ready to be cut up and used in a web page
  • lxmaier: i think since they have been approved by the red hat branding, we can use them for any fedora pages, right?
  • lxmaier: i guess i could make the files available on the wiki Stop (medium size).png See Logo
