AnacondaCustomization

Warning.png
This page is extremely out of date. These days, you probably want to use pungi for building custom trees these days

Following Fedora Core 5 Anaconda now uses yum so instructions on customisation have changed.

  • genhdlist is dead
  • You'll need to run createrepo specifically for CD's as well as for the tree.

Quick summary:

  • createrepo -g Fedora/base/comps.xml .
  • run buildinstall
  • run pkgorder
  • run splittree
  • run creatrepo with split option eg:

createrepo -v -g Fedora/base/comps.xml \ --baseurl=media://MEDIAID --split i386-disc?

  • MEDIAID is set to the .discinfo timestamp eg head -1 i386-disc1/.discinfo
