:One thing that comes up with the winter FUDCon every year is that the date is kind of stuck in an awkward time in December.  Unfortunately, early December is finals time for a lot of college students, so with the current proposed dates, FUDCon F13 may be an impossibility for that entire group of people :-(

::That's true.  We're stuck between a rock and a hard place, because while early January might give us more college attendees, it's also two months into the development cycle, which shortens the time available for anyone to finish things they come up with at the FUDCon before release heat is on.  Moving the release cycle later is equally (if not more) problematic because the GA date starts to fall on or in the middle of holidays.  This figured heavily into the May Day/Halloween scheduling.  Suggestions for how to fix this are welcome. --[[User:Pfrields|stickster]] 20:03, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

College students and finals week

One thing that comes up with the winter FUDCon every year is that the date is kind of stuck in an awkward time in December. Unfortunately, early December is finals time for a lot of college students, so with the current proposed dates, FUDCon F13 may be an impossibility for that entire group of people :-(

That's true.
