Proposed L10n Infrastructure Plan for Fedora 11
Common Content Files for Publican
Earlier, DimitrisGlezos had announced a proposed roadmap for the L10n Infrastructure for Fedora 11 Translation period. This included using Transifex version 0.5 for generation and display of statistics in place of Damned Lies and Transifex version 0.3 for submissions. A test interface of this setup is currently available at: http://publictest14.fedoraproject.org/tx/languages/
A request for translation of Common Content files, used by Publican to give a uniform appearance for documents, was put forward by Ruediger Landmann. The two files available for translation are Conventions.pot and Feedback.pot. The translated versions of these files are also available on the Fedoraproject, org wiki

AsgeirFrimannsson suggested an alternative approach to use the new Django supported version of Damned Lies for statistics and to also test its possible utilisation for translation submission.

Sponsor Upgradation Request
Due to a technical difficulty, the process of sending out notification messages on wiki-edits for watched pages was stalled. In view of this, NorikoMizumoto has requested the Team Coordinators to send in a mail to the fedora-trans mailing list if they are requesting their upgradation as sponsors to the cvsl10n group via the fedoraproject.org wiki page.

Sponsor Role for Translation Team Coordinators
Inconsistency in a Desktop string and GDM translations
FLSCo member NorikoMizumoto has requested all the coordinators for the existing Translation Teams to inform about their FAS account names so that they could be upgraded to the role of "Sponsor". This would help the new members in their team to be approved faster.
IgorPiresSoares brought forward the problem about a locating string that is displayed in the Fedora Gnome menu.  This string - About This Computer - was earlier translated and submitted via fedoraproject.org wiki page. Additionally, he also raises the the issue about the inconsistency in the translations of GDM strings. This matter is also being currently discussed in a bug.

L10n Infrastructure Team Meeting

The first meeting of the Fedora L10n Infrastructure team[1] was held on 24th February 2009[2]. The discussion centered around the progress of the Transifex setup for Fedora 11, New features in Transifex to provide better statistics and submission features, Djamned Lies with Publican support to be ready for testing on 27th February. The other discussion about branching of packages was marked for further discussion with the devel team.

Common Content Files for Publican

A request for translation of Common Content files, used by Publican to give a uniform appearance for documents, was put forward by Ruediger Landmann[1]. The two files available for translation are Conventions.pot[2] and Feedback.pot[3]. The translated versions of these files are also available on the Fedoraproject, org wiki[4]

Due to a technical difficulty[1], the process of sending out notification messages on wiki-edits for watched pages was stalled. In view of this, NorikoMizumoto has requested[2] the Team Coordinators to send in a mail to the fedora-trans mailing list if they are requesting their upgradation as sponsors to the cvsl10n group via the fedoraproject.org wiki page[3].

Inconsistency in a Desktop string and GDM translations

IgorPiresSoares brought forward the problem about a locating string that is displayed in the Fedora Gnome menu[1]. This string - About This Computer - was earlier translated and submitted via fedoraproject.org wiki page[2]. Additionally, he also raises the the issue about the inconsistency in the translations of GDM strings. This matter is also being currently discussed in a bug[3].
