Detailed Description

Lenovo is now producing computers that have a integrated graphics card and a discrete graphics card. In most cases computers need to be restarted and have the BIOS settings changed to swap between cards. However users running Microsoft Vista or 7 can switch during runtime though. This allows users of Fedora to also switch during runtime

Benefit to Fedora

Allows users of Fedora to take advantage of hardware features without a full restart.

Use Cases

  • Frank wants to have a longer battery life and switch to his integrated graphics card
  • John wants to use higher graphics settings and switch to his discrete graphics card
