Welcome to the Fedora Ambassadors North America (FAMNA) page. We're working hard to make this page our central point for all North American Ambassadors. If you are interested in further participating in the Fedora project as an ambassador, we'd love to have you on board.

Currently, we're building a list of regional North American ambassadors. If you interested in helping us, feel free to add your name.

FAMNA Growth Plan

We also have a Ambassador Growth Plan (we call it the world domination plan) with quantifiable goals. Feel free to peruse this as well.

FAMNA Event Report Tracking

The regional ambassadors (below) have agreed to grab event reports from wherever they may be posted, mail, blogs, irc, etc. and track them in one central place. This is in an effort to track each and every event report inside FAMNA. The benefit of this tracking is a better representation from the community, and helps us in finding better ways to market Fedora inside North America. In addition, its possible if the Fedora Board and Fedora Ambassadors Steering Committee have more accurate results, our budget expenditures may increase on the whole.

FAMNA Meetings

North American ambassadors meet on irc.freenode.net, #fedora-meeting, every Tuesday at 9pm Eastern US time. See previous/upcoming Meetings.

The task list has been moved to its own page due to its size and continued updates.

Fedora Ambassador Polo Shirts for FAMNA

Building on the successful and handsome polo shirts that Joerg Simon created[1], we have started procuring similar Fedora polos from Screen Printed Products[2], our preferred vendor in Ohio.

Here is a photo of the first batch of polos, below.

We are gathering names of Ambassadors in the United States and Canada for another batch order. The shirts are slightly cheaper now that we have paid the one-time design fees to the vendor. The shirts are $22.50 + shipping + 2% to cover PayPal fees, which should be around $40 each or two for $65 within the continental US (higher in Canada). Please send your shipping address to pcalarco@nd.edu. I will issue a PayPal payment invoice to your address and the shirt will be drop-shipped to you.
