Si sta cercando di localizzare le applicazioni maggiormente avide di energia effettuando misurazioni con strumenti, introdotti nel progetto. Con Fedora 12 si prevede di di migliorare ed estendere la funzionalità di tuned, incorporarlo in ktune di RHEL 5 e introdurre un modo nuovo e facile di transitare tra le varie impostazioni predefinite ed estensibili presenti nel sistema.

Con Fedora 11 si è introdotto un nuovo demone denominato tuned. L'obbiettivo ora è estendere la funzionalità e incorporarlo in uno strumento sviluppato per Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, ktune, oltre a introdurre un modo nuovo e semplice per transitare tra varie impostazioni predefinite ed estensibili presenti sul sistema.

Miglioramenti nella gestione dei consumi energetici in Fedora 12

Sommario

L'obbiettivo è migliorare la gestione dei consumi con particolare riguardo all'esperienza utente. Il progetto si basa su misure e dati statistici sui consumi energetici, soprattutto nei portatili. Si sta cercando di localizzare le applicazioni maggiormente avide di energia effettuando misurazioni con strumenti, introdotti nel progetto. Con Fedora 12 si prevede di di migliorare ed estendere la funzionalità di tuned, incorporarlo in ktune di RHEL 5 e introdurre un modo nuovo e facile di transitare tra le varie impostazioni predefinite ed estensibili presenti nel sistema.
