Foreword
  • Frames that use this style are redaction tips. Please remove them from your page once they are no longer necessary. Do the same for the lorem ipsum bits.
  • Remember the more complete and accurate the information you add is, the more likely a font is to be packaged and widely used.
  • Do not forget to update the page categorization once the font status changes.

[edit] Description

Tagalog Doctrina 1593 is based on the typeface used in one of the very first books printed in the Philippines, the Doctrina Christiana of 1593. It is the earliest documented form of the Baybayin. A virama ("+" shaped) kudlít is included with this font, although it was not introduced until 1620 in the Ilokano version of the Doctrina Cristiana.

It has been created by Paul Morrow.

  • Once a package has entered the review stage, add a Review reference ④ such as 181994. You can reference this wiki page in your review request as additional information. Please do not forget to CC fedora-fonts-bugs-list@redhat.com on your bugzilla ticket.
  • Once a package has been approved, add the corresponding:

[edit] Caveats

  1. The licensing of Paul Morrow's fonts is unclear. Careful polite advocacy is needed to convince him to slap the OFL, GPLv2/3 + font exception, or any other suitable for Fedora license on his files.
  2. If it works the other fonts on this page are open to packaging.
  3. If it does not this page needs to be moved to the rejected fonts category.

Take care of those items and remove them from the page once they've been dealt with.

[edit] Additional information
