Description

This test verifies that Live.iso image can be booted and installed from a USB stick created by Fedora LiveUSB creator.

UEFI supported since 3.11.8
LiveUSB creator only supports the creation of UEFI-bootable sticks since version 3.11.8. If you want to use this test case and do a native UEFI boot of the stick, please make sure to use liveusb-creator 3.11.8 or higher.

Setup

  1. You need to have a USB stick that is larger than the Live.iso image.
  2. Install Package-x-generic-16.pngliveusb-creator if you are on Fedora, or use the installer from the project homepage if you are on Windows.

How to test

  1. Convert the Live.iso image to the USB stick using liveusb-creator.
  2. Boot the system from the USB stick.
  3. Start the installer.
  4. Proceed with the installation.

Expected Results

  1. The ISO image is converted to the USB stick without error.
  2. The Live image boots without error.
  3. The installer starts without error.
  4. The installation finishes successfully.
  5. The new system initiates boot properly.
