Description

This is a very basic test to check that Xorg can detect and configure the video controller and attached monitor.

How to test

  1. Boot into runlevel 3 by passing 3 as a boot option
  2. Log in as a normal user
  3. Run this command: Xorg -retro
  4. Check the display
  5. Hit Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to stop Xorg

Expected Results

  1. The display shows an ugly black and white "stippled" pattern and X-shaped mouse pointer
  2. If multiple displays are attached, they will be mirrored
