  1. Ensure the 'nomodeset' and '(MODULE).modeset=0' kernel parameters are not set in your bootloader configuration
  2. You can force-enable 3D acceleration by adding 'nouveau.config=PGRAPH=1' and power management 'nouveau.perflvl_wr=7777'.
    • You can see your current kernel options by running cat /proc/cmdline
  3. Ensure the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf does not exist, or is a valid file that uses the (DRIVER) driver
  4. Shut your system down entirely, then start it up again
  5. If you are using a live image to test, add force-enable option to default parameters in bootloader menu.
