Amit Caleechurn born in 1982 in Mauritius. I live at Quatre Bornes. My first experience with IT started at the age of 11, discovered Linux in 1999 and fell instantly in love with it. Quickly got accustomed with the basics, followed my first Administration course in 2001, security followed shortly, took some months holidays from work last year to complete RHCE (805007092328507)in India. Currently working on achieving RHCA, I have already completed RHS333 & RH423. Shortly after completing my certification I left the Casino and moved to a Software Technology Provider. I was previously responsible for assembling & programming of slot machines and surveillance systems. I followed courses in these fields in Singapore, Russia and Ukraine. My interest has always been with Open Source technologies and it finally had the better of me. Currently I implement all Open Source technologies in my company starting from Samba PDC/FDS, mail servers to server consolidation using Xen. I am also a part time lecturer teaching Linux (Red Hat/CentOS & Fedora) administration to professionals from different companies willing to make the switch. I have been a user of Fedora since Core 1 and admire the work the fedora team makes to bring cutting edge technology to end users.
