Lynn Dixon

Hello! My name is Lynn Dixon and I am currently a Fedora and Red Hat fan. Currently, I work at a fortune 400 company that uses several hundred instances of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (mostly RHEL 5 and RHEL 6) and my job title is "Open Systems Administrator".

I have a blog that I occasionally put helpful tips and tricks for Linux users.

You can find it here: http://www.gigahype.com

If you would like to get in touch with me, feel free to email me at lynn@gigahype.com I always welcome suggestions for material on the site, and I welcome good debates.

I would like to start contributing more to Open Source projects, more specifically Fedora. I try to volunteer whenever I can and I am serving as a Fedora Ambassador. I would also like to work with the Desktop team to develop a Desktop Environment that enterprise users like me can use.

I am also Red Hat certified. I hold an RHCSA as well as the highly respected RHCE, an accomplishment that I am very proud of. Check my certification profile here: http://red.ht/lynndixon

Thanks for looking, and I will be updating this page soon with better content.

Activities within Fedora

  • I am just getting started, but plan on working with the Fedora Ambassadors group!
  • I love documentation and Desktop Design...hopefully there will be room for me in those groups as I start my journey!
