About me
- Name: Richard E. van der Luit
- Fedora Account: nippur
- Lives in: The Netherlands - Oegstgeest (Western-Europe)
- Works in: The Netherlands - Amsterdam
- My job: i am a jurist (LL.M) with an high interest in IT, using computers on sysadmlvl since 1984 and using Linux from the prompt since 1997
- I have been an employer for 100+ employees for 17 years, and had the opportunity to introduce linux into the business i worked in. I am currently involved in optimizing businessprocesses in leading compagnies.
My interest in linux was all from scratch though -better: i was using SCO Unix/System V at that moment-, and in Holland only a few people in those days had knowledge of or interest in linux all together. However, in by-going years i learned that more and more people contributed on a regular base to the so called linux community, and i didn't (at least not in Dutch, and not in my own name). I have changed that by translating what-ever-needed to be translated into Dutch for a while now. Also, one of my primes is to update and maintain Dutch translations of the most important pages of the Fedora Projects Wiki and the Fedora Websites.
