What is blogs.fedoraproject.org?

blogs.fedoraproject.org is an instance of WordPress MU running on the Fedora Infrastructure. If you are a Fedora project contributor you now have the chance to start your own fedora project blog. It is hoped that these blogs will provide a variety of contributors a voice brought together under a single look and feel site.

Requirements

Blogs are available to those that meet the following criteria:

  • You need an FAS account.
  • Logged into your new FAS account you need to complete the Contributors License Agreement. See How-to complete the CLA
  • You also need to be a member of a group that is not directly related to the CLA process. Take a look at the sub-projects on the wiki to see which suits you and your expectations. Alternatively, you can follow the process which starts at Join Fedora and see which groups you may be interested in joining.

Getting started on your blog

To get started with your blog, you'll need to follow the sign-up process here.

  1. Click on the 'login' to log into Fedora Blogs using your FAS account credentials
  2. Upon login you will be taken to your Profile page where you can edit settings
  3. When you are happy with your profile content, click the 'Update Profile' button at the bottom of the page
  4. To create your new blog, click on 'Create a Blog' link on the left side of the page
  5. You can bookmark this page to provide easy access to your blog dashboard.

And that's really all there is to it, so get blogging!
