Why do you want to work with the Fedora Project?
I want to work with the fedora project, because I have been using fedora since I was in grade 9th. It has been my favorite Linux distro, eversince. Apart from that am a FOSS enthusiast, and love to promote the idea of free software, and believe in the core principles of Open Source, which is the central idea behind the Fedora Project.
Do you have any past involvement with the Fedora project or any other open source project as a contributor?
Am a rabid open source contributor, and keep contributing patches to the open source applications I use. I have contributed numerous patches to Rekonq, Kate, Konversation, Trojita, Telepathy. Am the maintainer of the FontCompare plugin, for fontforge, which I developed last summer as a part of GSoC 2013.
Did you participate with the past GSoC programs, if so which years, which organizations?
I participated in GSoC 2013, developing a font metric tool for Indic fonts, under the mentoring organization, Ankur India.
Will you continue contributing/ supporting the Fedora project after the GSoC 2014 program, if yes, which team(s), you are interested with?
I will continue contributing to Fedora project, in my full capacity. If given a chance, I would love to be a part of the Release Engineering team, and the Fonts SIG.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?
I am passionate about whatever I do. I strongly believe in the principles of FOSS, and love contributing to the Open Source world, since I was introduced to it. I also possess sound technical skills, required for the project.
