My name is John Lane and I am a free software enthusiast and supporter from Surry County Virginia, in the United States. I have been using free software since I recieved my first copy of Ubuntu 7.10 by mail in 2006. In January 2011 I switched to Fedora and CentOS for my desktop and server systems.
I must admit that I had propogated many myths about Red Hat based systems prior to making the switch. Hopefully, I can now direct my efforts to dispell those myths and mitigate whatever damage I may have done to the growth and adoption of this fine operating system.
