FLISOL is one of the largest Free Software events in Latin America, and happens simultaneously in hundreds of cities across the continent. It is a major Install Fest event, usually coupled with talks and demonstrations. In the city of Chapecó we'll have talks about Free Software, Fedora and other GNU/Linux distros, as well as about Arduino and Raspberry Pi (running Fedora, of course). This page (in brazilian Portuguese) shows a little more about the event. We expect over 100 attendees, and will have good Fedora representation with a banner, a talk by an Ambassador, a pile of Fedora DVDs for the Install Fest and a Raspberry Pi running Fedora for demonstration.

Fábio Olivé presented a talk on [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOogjwuBdEw Free Software and Innovation], as well as a [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3o7WzzAL3k talk about Fedora]. They were fairly well received by the participants, which were somewhere around 90 to 100 people. On the Install Fest portion of the event, there was a lot of interest about Fedora, and 42 Fedora 18 Live DVDs were given to interested participants, as well as 42 Installation DVDs (I'm not sure why the numbers were the same, this was not intentional). Here are [https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v4tgd68cel1orcu/VOp9QROdGK/FLISOL%202013 some pictures taken at the event] (I'm the one with the Red Fedora).
