I am using Fedora distro in my computer Labs. I have been using ubuntu since 2010.What I love is their common philosophy promoting open source and free software. While ubuntu is the most user friendly linux distro,Fedora stands ahead in terms of cutting edge software. One of the factors to be considered while choosing a repo is their community .Fedora has a good community. Though I haven't found many blogs. Also if you are going to working with python, ruby and developing web applications fedora is good. The Yum installer has always worked nicely
'''As a contributer'''
I am quite happy to have made my first open source contribution. I have learned a lot from submitting my first patch. My First patch was removing the integrity exception
