I am very inquisitive. Since I was young I was the kid that people wanted to mute because I was always asking questions. I feel blessed that I have many talents and skills that I can count on that have always pushed me further and on top. From a young age I would physically take apart electronics to understand what was going on or I was just your average boy that liked to take things apart and not know how to put them back. As time went on all my questions and errors led me to some type of common sense understanding in the world of electronics and computers. I was able to solder a ~30 wire mod-chip my first Xbox and install a 200GiB HDD than run xbmc. People looked at me like I was an alien, to me it was just a task I could not give up on until it was perfected. From that started my addiction to computers and troubleshooting and learning. I need to be challenged. I suffer from anxiety which is weird because I am also very social. But I would say that anxiety is probably what drives me. This may sound off but I always got vibes off people since I was young that grew in to me understanding people pretty good in a way that was very satisfying and rewarding. Allowing me to help, advice and support with great results very often. From tonality to body movement to how someone speaks my brain is constantly on GO and calculating. Later in life this qwerk was the main factor in landing successful jobs in marketing and sales. I am 27 years old. Clearly talk a lot... and now feeling that I am saying to much that is not needed. Either way I have many layers and am very open minded (I would like to think). I enjoy helping people supporting or giving advise where I can. Dont be afraid to get to know me!

Activities within Fedora

  • I am new to the community and hope I can be a great asset sooner than later! Please feel free to contact me whenever for whatever, I would like nothing more than to get the hang of things and meet some of you! fedora has been nothing but an amazing OS to me and knowing this beautiful work was built by a community of people supporting one another in all shapes and forms, following a very distinct goal and mindset as a collective to achieve goals, never following but being leaders. I found it really hit home with me and now hope I can be part of its future. I am very social, have worked marketing and sales ( most recent being a provincial account exec.) for most of my life because I enjoy being social, interacting and genuinely love helping and supporting customers, businesses or even friends reach new heights. I have a very creative side that mixes well with everything and I have been learning on the computer since I was 9 (27 years old). I have always been very tech-savvy, on the side always built my own computers and for friends, studied computer science and constantly put myself in situations to force myself to learn and troubleshoot making me pretty good around a computer inside and out. Sadly I am very confident when it comes to computers and can accomplish many tasks due to my years of experience but I never choose a road to go down and I would love to find what I would be great at. I am intrigued with newer programming/scripting but at times felt overwhelmed and Linux system administration I find would be great but my biggest weakness is networking. My plan is to stick to what I am currently skilled and confident at and use my creativity, social skills and business knowledge and experience to join the fedora marketing team or be an ambassador whatever works better for the community and project. At the same time I would still like to learn and progress to narrow down and find a specific skill for me to focus on hopefully being a contributor to the development of the fedora OS. Ideas I have many! What really jumps out at me is the lack of knowledge in the Toronto community when it comes to anything Linux or open sourced more specifically nothing on fedora. I would love to really be apart of that change in direction and create or be involved in creating a targeted campaign starting with the creative and research teams moving it to the streets I am ready for it all. I currently want to focus all of my time on this I am dedicated. The people that I do speak to that are interested in my setup and what I do on my desktop and laptop become quickly focused because they see something refreshing and different to what they are use to (the two strong commercial OS's) but they quickly move on and stay narrow minded to Windows and Mac because they assume that my computer savvy background is the reason for for my shift and they often don't find an incentive that sticks with them. Privacy is obviously a huge issue and right now it is not just the savvy or the paranoid understanding its your average person. I have many ideas I would love to brainstorm and dicuss with fellow members, my visions never been clearer, I need to get this in action.
