Fedora 20 for ARM
The Fedora ARM team is pleased to announce the final release of Fedora 20 for the 32-bit ARM Architecture. We are providing both pre-installed disk media images (suitable for use with devices that boot from removable media, such as an SD Card), as well as installer images:
What is included in the Fedora 20 for ARM release?
The Fedora 20 for ARM Architecture release includes prebuilt images suitable for use with:
- Versatile Express (QEMU)
- CompuLab TrimSlice (Tegra2)
- Texas Instruments BeagleBone Black (AM335x)
- Wandboard (Freescale i.MX6)
- Calxeda EnergyCore ECX-1000 (HighBank) and ECX-2000 (Midway)
Images are provided in two forms (types): for those devices that require a VFAT partition to boot from (eg Texas Instruments BeagleBone Black), and for those devices that can boot from a standard EXT3/4 filesystem. The VFAT images are clearly labeled as such. Images are available for many of the major desktop environments (MATE, KDE, XFCE, LXDE, Sugar), as well as a "Minimal" image that does not include a desktop environment.
These prebuilt images can be written directly to SD Card, USB, or SATA drive and in most cases can be booted without any additional steps or configuration. Please see the board-specific installation instructions for additional information.

Raspberry Pi and other Remixes
If you are looking for a Fedora 20 on a device that wasn't mentioned above it may not have official support due to some licensing issue or lack of upstream support. Unofficial Fedora remixes are available for additional targets including the Raspberry Pi and other popular devices. The list of known Fedora 20 remixes is catalogued at Architectures/ARM/F20/Remixes.
HDMI output and USB peripherals not working on Beagle Bone Black
Fedora 20 GA has non functional USB/HDMI. At the moment, to use the Beagle Bone Black, you will need a serial console attached to the 6 ping serial header. There's full details here. The 3.12.5 kernel has full working usb/hdmi/network. It is currently in the kernel-nodebug repository, but there is a low expectation of support or testing of nodebug kernels. The 3.12 kernel should make it to updates-testing soon. Unofficial updated images are planned to be made available by the Fedora ARM team for the convenience of Beagle Bone Black users shortly after the 3.12 kernel lands with the only difference being the 3.12 kernel in the image.
