Fedora 19 for PPC64 Release Announcement

The Fedora for Power team is letting the cat out of the sack^H^H^H^Hbox in the form of Fedora 19 for ppc64 on a mirror near you.

New Features

All of the new features and benefits in the F19_release_announcement apply to this release, in addition to the following features:

  • The new LLVMPipe rendering engine is now fully functional and enabled by default. This greatly speeds up graphics rendering on systems with no 3D graphics drivers or working with VNC sessions.

Known Issues

General Common_F19_bugs also apply to this release, but you should also be aware of the following issues before tipping the cow:

  • Konqueror segfaults when trying to launch it. A fix is already done and will be shipped as an update for KDE in the next few days. In the meantime if you install KDE and need a webbrowser Firefox works nicely out of the box.
