This is apropos to a fully functional storage library in that the goal of clean, consistent design is virtually irreconcilable with the tangle of massively inconsistent storage technologies that must be managed.

Blivet, or Devil's pitchfork

Blivet is a python module for management of a system's storage configuration. It is used by Anaconda, Fedora's OS installer and used to exist as pyanaconda.storage.

What's with the name?

But the term "blivet" has a negative connotation as well. Shouldn't you pick a different name?
