Eligible Voters
Voting eligibility is determined by a community member's Fedora Account System (FAS) memberships.

To vote for Environment and Stacks Working Group you must have cla_done + one other "non-cla" group in FAS.

Candidate Nominations

Please nominate just by Name, IRC nick and FAS account ID.A set of questions for candidates is being prepared, and the resulting introductions will be published in Fedora Magazine and/or Community Blog , at the end of the "Campaign" period.

Petr Hracek (phracek)

Introduction

  • Mission Statement:
    • Make Fedora first Linux desktop and developer environment around Linux world
    • Help users and developers with developing and package maintenance
    • My dream is to have at least a proof of concept with Fedora modularization before next election to E&S.
  • Past work summary:
    • python
    • my past work was on DevAssistantGUI. Nowadays postponed from maintainance
    • Fedora graphical packages (Graphical libraries like libpng, libtiff, libjpeg)
    • Fedora backup packages (like amanda, bacula, rear)
    • currently working on preupgrade-assistant (tool for assessment system before an upgrade) Preupgrade-assistant
    • currently working on rebase-helper and upstream monitoring service (tool for rebasing packages) GIT rebase-helper
    • currently working on Fedora Developer Portal Fedora Developer Portal
  • Future plans:
    • Make Fedora first Linux distro for developers and maintainers
    • Help advanced users with package maintainance (like rebase-helper do it)
    • Help users with migration/upgrading their desktops
    • Help to community with Fedora modularization
    • Fedora Developer Portal should be the first place where developers can find a lot of things around Fedora world.


Tomas Tomecek

  • Mission Statement:
    • Make Fedora developer friendly GNU/Linux distribution
  • Past work summary:
    • Fedora packager
    • currently working on tooling around docker
    • was working on tooling around static analysis in past
  • Future plans:
    • get container ecosystem to Fedora and integrate with existing infrastructure
    • it should be easy to set up a development environment and start coding right away on Fedora
