This is the main page for a FAD at Southeast LinuxFest 2011, which is a FAD focused on FUDCon Finance and Location selection processes.

Purpose

Our purpose is to have a Finance/FUDCon process FAD with the following primary goals:

    • Define a clear process for purchasing FUDCon subsidy travel -- who is responsible, how long it should take, how things are tracked between spreadsheet (with estimates) to tickets for purchase (with final cost) to the end point of the expense report filed by a RHT person who has paid for the ticket.
    • Define a clear process for tracking overall budget for FUDCon.
    • Define a clear process for how the community should choose a FUDCon location when more than one location is proposed. This should be sent back to the fudcon-planning list for further review/approval by folks not able to attend the FAD. What should the criteria be, how should they be weighted, if at all, etc.?

In addition, we will attempt to complete the following secondary goals as time allows:

    • Define a clear set of tickets, grouped by FUDCon planning milestones, which should be created. (Or at least define what milestones should always be added to trac, and document the list somewhere.)
    • Discuss any FUDCon Blacksburg related planning that we'd like to address after Ben arrives.
    • Any other non-FUDCon Finance items that we can take care of during that time would be awesome as well.
