Fedora Lanzarote Linux Workshop

Summary

Fedora Lanzarote Linux Workshop is an Spanish event where will be take place LibreOffice's presentations about Free Sofware and Open Source. Talking about some Free Software projects as KDE, GNOME, XFCE....; GNU licenses for example GPLv2, GPLv3 for general people; Fedora Project, how to start, what is it...; BOINC's project and so more.

In addition to there will be a Fedora Installation Party, where people will be bring laptops to setup this grateful operative system. Consequently, let's start 4 days to teach how to be a little sys admin of this wonderful operative system that's Fedora.

This courses are free and certless. It's divided by two part of administration system. GUI and not-GUI. Some topics will be show as iptables, firewalld, DNF, YUM...etc

Some Technology ways will be used for teach workshops?

For Installation Party:

  • Maybe build a PXE's server to perform install Fedora on laptops.
  • Build a YUM or DNF local repo cache to get updates locally without use Internet brandwith.
  • Uses Fedora Live-USB creator for people can install at home, bussiness or more...

For Workshops:

  • Build a virtual server with SSH included for connect with people laptops into VM with Fedora installed. To touch it.
