=== Serbian Translation File Nomenclature ===
=== Translation Credit Loss Problem Resolved ===
Last week, [[User:Kmilos | Miloš Komarčević]] from the Serbian translation team has highlighted a discepancy in the nomenclature of the language code for Serbian written in Latin script<ref>https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-trans-list/2009-November/msg00005.html</ref>.

[[User:Rlandmann | Ruediger Landmann]] explained that this was caused due Transifex 0.5 and Publican 0.x handling the locales differently. The former uses the definition as per glibc and the latter identifies the sr-LATN<ref>https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-trans-list/2009-November/msg00009.html</ref>. This caused statistics to be out of sync since the Serbian Latin (sr@Latn) translations are based on the Serbian (sr) translations<ref>https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-trans-list/2009-November/msg00012.html</ref>.
A major issue related to the loss<ref>http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FWN/Issue264#Copyright_Information_and_Comments_Deleted_from_.PO_files_on_transifex.net</ref> of Translator Credits in modules submitted via transifex.net has been resolved by the Transifex development team<ref>http://blog.transifex.net/2011/05/transifex-net-update-may-25/</ref>. The problem had also been escalated to the Fedora Legal team<ref>http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/trans/2011-May/008974.html</ref><ref>http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/legal/2011-May/001622.html</ref>.

The issue would be resolved by Publican 1.0 and an upgrade of the Fedora Transifex instance to v0.7 and all references to sr_Latn and sr@latin can be moved to sr-Latn-RS.

=== Autotranslate Feature Disabled for Fedora Modules on Transifex ===

=== Templates for Marketing Content ===
The Autotranslate feature on transifex.net has been disabled for Fedora modules in view of a possible conflict with the Terms of Usage of the Google Translated API that was being used for the feature<ref>http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/legal/2011-May/001621.html</ref>.

Zoltan Hopper put forward a suggestion<ref>https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-trans-list/2009-November/msg00006.html</ref> to prepare promotional document templates on the Fedora Ambassadors wiki page, which could then be translated by the translation teams, compiled into a print/DTP ready format and made available for distribution by the ambassadors in their local region. Zoltan is also planning to put together a sample template for combined document that would also include information for new contributors<ref>https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-trans-list/2009-November/msg00023.html</ref>.

Translation

This section covers the news surrounding the Fedora Translation (L10n) Project[1].

Contributing Writer: Runa Bhattacharjee

Translation Credit Loss Problem Resolved

A major issue related to the loss[1] of Translator Credits in modules submitted via transifex.net has been resolved by the Transifex development team[2]. The problem had also been escalated to the Fedora Legal team[3][4].

Autotranslate Feature Disabled for Fedora Modules on Transifex

The Autotranslate feature on transifex.net has been disabled for Fedora modules in view of a possible conflict with the Terms of Usage of the Google Translated API that was being used for the feature[1].

FPCA Signing on Transifex.net

All participants to the Fedora Localization Project are required to sign[1] the Fedora Project Contributor Agreement (FPCA) at https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/fedora/cla/ in addition to signing it on the Fedora Account System[2]

The last date to sign the FPCA is June 17th 2011

Fedora Documentation and Websites missing for F15

A number of Fedora Documentation modules[1] and Fedora Websites[2] modules were not available for translation for Fedora 15 as they could not be migrated to transifex.net before the release. However, translation can be continued for some of these modules which are being gradually migrated by the writers to transifex.net.
