Fedora 8 Bookmarks

Summary

Brainstorming what the default Firefox bookmarks for Fedora 8 should be. All input is welcome. We've tried to lay it out similar to how the Firefox Bookmark Organizer looks.

2007-09-26 I have cleaned up the lists, tweaked the names around a little bit, and added the "Quick Searches" that we left out of Fedora 7. If the current list below could be added to F8, it would satisfy bug #178069 and also give us a good default bookmark set.

2007-09-27 ChristopherAillon reminds me that upstream Firefox no longer ships the "quick search" bookmarks that were in Fedora Core 6, for example. Rather than try to rebuild that feature, we are going to simply ship a standard set of bookmarks since that is closest to what upstream does. This page describes the current way to do quick searches/keyword searches in Firefox.
