Contribution to Firefox is welcomed. Firefox package is opened for commits from all provenpackagers. If you need to tweak Firefox in Fedora, commit to master (rawhide) branch only and it's good to ping [mailto:stransky@redhat.com Martin Stransky <stransky@redhat.com>] before any changes there. As Firefox build takes ~ 8-10 hours in Koji there isn't usually need unnoticed changes/builds.
 
Contribution to Firefox at upstream is also much appreciated, ping [mailto:stransky@redhat.com Martin Stransky <stransky@redhat.com>] for good first bugs, hints and guide.
