The mission of the Haskell Special Interest Group is to maintain, grow, and guide the packaging of Haskell projects in Fedora.

Mission
Communication
To encourage, grow and guide the packaging of Haskell projects in Fedora.
Mailing lists
We have two mailing-lists:

Communication
* haskell (archives) for general discussion
Mailing list
* haskell-devel (archives) for bugzilla traffic.
We have a mailing-list fedora-haskell-list  (archives ), since 13 Feb 2008.

IRC
IRC
We have an IRC channel #fedora-haskell on Frenode.
We have an #fedora-haskell channel on freenode.net .

Tasks
Updates
* Complete and submit the current revised draft packaging guidelines for haddock documentation handling, and other minor fixes.
Follow us on Twitter.
* Submit various commonly used libraries for Package Review
* update Bryan's cabal-rpm to generate .spec that follow our Packaging Guidelines
* There are some of old srpms for DrIFT, c2hs, cpphs, fps, hs-plugins, hscolour, hsh, hslogger, missingh, vty, wxhaskell, xmobar, xmonad at unsubmitted srpm packages that could be updated
* Bootstrap ghc on ppc64 (bug 239713 ) and ia64
* Build ghc for EPEL

Packaging
Haskell Platform support
We have the Haskell Packaging Guidelines in place with template .spec files for libraries and programs. Please use them when submitting Haskell packages for review. There is a script <code>cabal2spec</code> included in the Fedora ghc package which generates .spec files from cabal packages with the packaging templates.
* F22 and F23 have ghc-7.8.4 and patched haskell-platform-2014.2.0.0
* F20 and F21 have ghc-7.6.3 and haskell-platform-2013.2.0.0
* EPEL7 has ghc-7.6.3 and haskell-platform-2013.2.0.0
* EPEL6 has ghc-7.0.4 and haskell-platform-2011.4.0.0
* EPEL5 has ghc-7.0.4

Package Reviews
Please see the Haskell Platform page for more information about Fedora's Haskell Platform support.

* Please use cabal-rpm (which replaced cabal2spec) to generate packages for submitting a package review request.
** It should follow the current Haskell Packaging Guidelines.
* You can use <code>cabal-rpm diff</code> when reviewing packages to check differences from the templates.
* Please include haskell-sig in the InitialCC field of Package_SCM_admin_requests.
* New packages (not starting with <code>ghc-*</code>) need to be added to Upstream_release_monitoring.
