Mailing lists
We have a mailing-list fedora-haskell-list (archives ), since 13 Feb 2008.
We have two mailing-lists:

* haskell (archives) for general discussion
* haskell-devel (archives) for bugzilla traffic.

Haskell Platform support
Updates
Follow us on Twitter.

We support most of the Haskell Platform project, although we do not yet have an all-inclusive umbrella package that pulls in every Haskell package required by the Platform specification.
GHC versions
* F22, F23, and F24 have ghc-7.8.4
* F20 and F21 had ghc-7.6.3
* EPEL7 has ghc-7.6.3
* EPEL6 has ghc-7.0.4
* EPEL5 has ghc-7.0.4

Currently missing packages:
Please see the Haskell Platform page for more information about Fedora's Haskell Platform support.
* GLUT (requires OpenGL)
Detailed package information can be found on the Fedora Packages page.

Installing the Haskell Platform
Haskell Coprs
If you're looking for newer versions of ghc etc you can try the following coprs:

Here's how you can install the Platform from the command line:
* https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/petersen/ghc-8.0.1/ (*)
* https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/petersen/ghc-7.10.3/ (*)
* https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/petersen/stack/
* https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/petersen/ghc-7.8.4/ (*)
* https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/petersen/pandoc/ (also pandoc-el5)
* https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/petersen/idris/
* https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/petersen/cabal-install/ (note the above ghc repos already include cabal-install)
* https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/mathstuf/git-annex/

Packaging
We have the Haskell Packaging Guidelines in place with template .spec files for libraries and programs. Please use them when submitting Haskell packages for review. cabal2spec generates .spec files from cabal packages using up to date templates. After a package has been accepted please remember to include
haskell-sig
in the CVS Admin Request.
New Package Process
* Please use cabal-rpm to generate packages for submitting a package review request.
** It should follow the current Haskell Packaging Guidelines.
** Please add
haskell-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org
to the CC list for your review request bug.
* You can use
cabal-rpm diff
when reviewing packages to check differences from the templates.
* New packages need to be added to Upstream_release_monitoring.

Mission

The mission of the Haskell Special Interest Group is to maintain, grow, and guide the packaging of Haskell projects in Fedora.

Communication

Mailing lists

We have two mailing-lists:

Please see the Haskell Platform page for more information about Fedora's Haskell Platform support. Detailed package information can be found on the Fedora Packages page.

Haskell Coprs

If you're looking for newer versions of ghc etc you can try the following coprs:

Tasks

 • Changes/GHC_7.10 for F25
 • move http://fedorahosted/haskell-sig to Pagure with pagure-importer
 • help improve FedoraReview/plugins/haskell.py
 • Changes/YesodWebFramework
