FIG Job Description: sysadmin-build

Members of sysadmin-build will be tasked with maintaining the koji and plague build master systems. Members of sysadmin-build maintain the build hosts and the storage subsystem underlying the build systems.

Level of commitment

Average 4 hours per week

Expected duties

• Monitor and troubleshoot build issues with koji
• Monitor and troubleshoot build issues with plague
• Troubleshoot build issues with mock
• Troubleshoot general RPM build issues
• Troubleshoot remote build connectivity with secondary arch buildsystems
• Monitor and troubleshoot buildsystem storage

Required skills

• Set up a Koji build system
• Build and troubleshoot RPMs with Koji
• Use of Mock with Koji
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Cheetah
• Experience with storage topics (iSCSI, LVM, NFSv4)
• Experience with basic system administration tasks and troubleshooting (user / filesystem permissions, remote connectivity, etc)
• Experience with building and troubleshooting RPMs

• Koji - RPM build system (Koji wiki)
• Mock - SRPM build testing system (Using mock)
