  • Abstract: What's happening with wireless LANs? In this talk I will review current happenings related to wireless LANs in Linux. Somewhere between a status report and a plea for help, I will touch on new features, development in progress, and items still on the horizon. The audience will get a review of current status and suggestions on how they can continue to help development progress.
  • Bio: John W. Linville is the current Linux kernel maintainer for wireless local area networking. John is employed by Red Hat, where his primary focus is wireless networking in the upstream kernel and the Fedora distribution. When not completely overwhelmed by these roles, John enjoys his role relaxing at home as a husband and father of three young children.
