These are the Talking Points for Fedora 13 KDE Desktop Edition. They are currently under construction. For information on how we are making these talking points, see Talking Points SOP. In this case, the feature page is not the Fedora Features, but Upstream KDE's Feature list .

Not everything listed here right now will end up as a talking point.
The list below covers all the KDE 4.4 features; we will be looking at the features that have comments on why they should become talking points, and choosing the final small selection of talking points from that, then cleaning up this page.
Feature category Why should this be a talking point?
Plasma Netbook User Plasma Netbook provides a new user interface for KDE designed for small formfactor devices such as netbooks. It includes a new Desktop shell with a full screen application launcher and search and a new Newspaper Plasma desktop layout.
Social Desktop Integration User KDE SC's integration with the Open Collaboration Services API allows users to download and upload content to sites like Through Plasma Desktop's Community, Knowledge Base and Social News applets.
Window Grouping User The new tabbing feature in KWin allows the user to group windows together in a tabbed interface, making the handling of large numbers of applications easier and more efficient.
Quick Tiling and Maximisation User Further improvements to window handling include snapping windows to a side of the screen and maximizing windows by dragging them.
Aurorae Window Decoration Engine User/Developer(?) Finally artists can more easily develop and share themes for the windows thanks to the development of a more configurable window decorator with the ability to use scalable graphics.
