Description

Starting and stopping Jenkins service.

Setup

  1. Ensure that the package jenkins is installed.

How to test

  1. start Jenkins: systemctl start jenkins
  2. open http://localhost:8080/jenkins in your web browser
  3. try to click around for awhile, inspect menus, ...
  4. stop Jenkins: systemctl stop jenkins

Expected Results

  1. you should be able to use Jenkins web interface without any problems
  2. there shouldn't be any error messages, neither on screen, not in logs
