Fedora Events: Open House Phnom Penh 2014, Cambodia

About Open House

Development Innovations is a project to help turn ideas that use technology into solutions that change Cambodia for the better. A big part of our project is the office space and innovation “lab” that is freely available to any individual or organization in Cambodia interested in using technology to create social innovation.

On March 18th, we celebrate the launch of our new space with an “Open House”. Drop by our space anytime between 12 noon and 6pm to check out our facilities, use our equipment, talk to our team and interact with our innovation expo that includes:

• 3D printing machine
• Microsoft Kinect SDK demonstration
• Leap Motion and Makey Makey demonstrations
• Presenters from Open Institute, InSTEDD, Open Development Cambodia, World Education, Fourth Sector Innovations, Marie Stopes International, RHAC and more talking about their innovative ICT projects

You can also take part in one of many activities such as:

• Learning basic computer programming in just one hour.
• Setting up a blog and making your first blog post.
• Signing up for your free Lab membership (to use our facilities at any time)
• Light refreshments will be available during Open House and we look forward to sharing a drink with you while discussing your ideas to improve Cambodia.
