s/_/-/ in PEAR/PECL -> rpm name?

Though it isn't mentioned explicitly here, it would appear that the PEAR package name has all of the underscores replaced with dashes in the rpm package name.... or am I missing something here? Chris Weyl 07:53, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Some package use the underscore Most package use the dash This has been discussed on fedora-devel, this is a packager choice. Remi Collet Mon Jan 3 18:47:52 CET 2011

fedora-newspec not fedora-newrpmspec

Second to last line should be

fedora-newspec -t php-pear php-pear-Foo

rather

fedora-newrpmspec -t php-pear php-pear-Foo

I don't seem to be able to edit.

Steve

No, no longer fedora-newrpmspec but rpmdev-newspec Kiilerix 09:59, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

But, the simplest way is (which follow as much as possible this Guidelines)

yum install php-pear-PEAR-Command-Packaging
pear make-rpm-spec Foo.tgz
