Description

A complete installation using a LVM on top of a RAID (/dev/md0) device with encrypted partitions included. For guidance on custom partition sizes, please consule the recommended partition sizes in the Fedora 11 Install guide.

How to test

  1. Boot the installer using any available means (boot.iso, PXE, CD or DVD)
  2. At the first disk partitioning screen, select Create custom layout
  3. Delete all exist disk partitions by selecting each disk, and pressing Delete
  4. Select New and create a /boot partition
  5. Select New and swap partition
  6. Select New and create a software RAID members.
  7. Repeat the previous step several times. Ideally, you would want these partitions spread across multiple disks. For the purposes of this test we are not testing true data redundancy, and it's not needed.
  8. When sufficient RAID members have been created, select RAID, and select Create a RAID device
  9. At the Make a RAID Device dialog, make the following changes, then select OK
    1. Choose a mount point '/'
    2. Select an appropriate RAID level (this test doesn't require a specific level)
    3. Select all created RAID members
    4. Select Encrypt
  10. Click Next and provide a passphrase for any encrypted partitions
  11. Proceed with installation

Expected Results

  1. Anaconda completes successfully
  2. Upon booting installed system, you are prompted for a passphrase, and the correct passphrase is accepted
