Needs work
This test case needs some guidance on how to identify a system with a PATA device.

Description

This install verifies that installing to a Parallel ATA device works properly. For further information on PATA devices, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_ATA.

How to test

  1. Boot the installer using any available means
  2. Choose appropriate installation source such as NFS or HTTP.
  3. Choose either automated partitioning or custom partitioning if you want to create your own disk layout.
  4. Review partitioning layout to confirm installer is installing to PATA device.
  5. Proceed with normal installation

Expected Results

  1. All installable PATA devices are successfully detected by installer and are available for partitioning.
  2. Partitions are created and formatted properly.
  3. Install completes successfully
  4. Package errors (install.log) should not occur
  5. System boots successfully recognizing filesystems created on the PATA device(s).
