Introduction

This is a Marketing SOP that describes how to recruit potential collaborators and help them in the getting started process. This SOP aims to guide the ambassador or experienced collaborator, the novice to take his/her first steps.

The problem

A lot of new contributors get confused about the joining Fedora teams process. Some times they aren't able to contact some ambassador or team expert. Another situation on which the ambassador does not know how to make use of their skills. Sometimes the wiki isn't clear enough.

Procedure

Let them see why they should join

There are many reason why Fedora Project would be a great expedience to any contributor. To emphasize the proper, you have to know the potential contributor, mainly their interests. For example, if he likes to make new friends, show him the chance to socialize whit other contributors.

Do not make the process seems complicated

While we pursue through a "protocol" to join a team, explain it in the simplest way possible. Finding it complex may cause frustration.
