Fedora è sostanzialmente sponsorizzata da RedHat. Tuttavia il suo futuro dipende da progetti liberi ed opensource indipendenti (upstream) e dai tanti contributori. Tutti sono invitati a partecipare. Fedora è l'integrazione quindi di un gran numero di progetti upstream e si sforza di portare il meglio del software libero ed opensource incluse innovazioni circa ogni 6 mesi.

  1. The Target tracker is a nice to have fixed list of bugs for a release. It is a convenient way to separate them from all the other open bugs.
  2. Issues that affect the critical path stuff (graphics, installer, network) have a lower barrier because fixing them with updates is much more disrupting.
