Replacing Pidgin with Empathy

I'm a bit wary of replacing Pidgin with Empathy. Some notes:

• Empathy/Telepathy do not natively support AIM or Yahoo.
  • AIM/Yahoo support requires telepathy-haze and telepathy-haze-mission-control. Do we plan on marking these packages as default?
• Empathy cannot currently send/receive files. Will this be fixed by release time?
  • No, it's planned for Gnome-2.6 - Brian
