Editing Test Day:2013-05-09 Red Hat Test Bed


If you're on the Red Hat internal network, there are two Active Directory servers and one FreeIPA server available for testing. Unfortunately, these servers cannot be easily made available to the public. In addition this works poorly for testing if you're on a VPN. Because the VPN connection must be up before the Active Directory domain is accessible.

= Active Directory Test Bed =

There are pre-created users and groups available on the Test Bed. Each pre-created user has three equivalents:
* regular user
* user with posix attributes (required to perform the test case [[QA:Testcase realmd join rfc2307]])
* admin user (required when domain admin privileges are needed)
Add your name when you claim one of them as your own user for the particular test bed.

Should you need any changes or administration with test servers and pre-created user feel free to contact the server administrators.

== AD: setup ==
In order to make your workstation work with AD server replace the DNS server in your <code>/etc/resolv.conf</code> with the Domain Controller IP of Test Bed.
