Historically, we've strived for these periods:
- Pre-Alpha : 2 Months
- From Alpha to Beta : 2 Months
- From Beta to Preview : 1 Month
- From Preview to GA : 1 Month
Total: 6 Months
Based on that, here is my proposed F11 Schedule.

- Alpha Release - Tue 27-Jan-2009
- Feature Freeze (depend feature submission) - Tue 3-Mar-2009
- Critical Package Freeze (anaconda, kernel) - Tue 3-Mar-2009
- Beta Freeze - Tue 10-Mar-2009
- Beta Release - Tue 24-Mar-2009
- Preview Release - Tue 28-Apr-2009
- GA Release - Tue 26-May-2009
Durations
- Pre-Alpha (Wed 26-Nov-2008 to Tue 27-Jan-2009): 62 days (2 months, 2 days)
- From Alpha to Beta (Tue 27-Jan-2009 to Tue 24-Mar-2009): 59 days (1 Month, 29 days)
- From Beta to Preview (Tue 24-Mar-2009 to Tue 28-Apr-2009): 35 days (1 Month, 5 days)
- From Preview to GA (Tue 28-Apr-2009 to Tue 26-May-2009): 28 days (~ 1 Month)
