I am a student at UC Irvine pursuing a PhD in Physics. I am a firm believer that open source software gives people the ability to be more productive. I believe this, not because of theory, but because I have found that open source software has greatly simplified my life and enhanced my own productivity, as well as many others I have met. Furthermore I believe the Red Hat/Fedora ecosystem is the greatest model for expanding open source throughout the world.

Activities within Fedora

  • Advocate the use of Fedora and Red Hat products depending on specific needs.
  • Continually test new fedora releases and report bugs as I go.
  • Live in the Southern California and will participate in local meetings.
  • Help anyone with installation and maintenance issues.
  • Desire to help the science team maintain packages in the future, as I use them personally for research.
  • Will help in any other way I can, just drop me a note and ask. I am a graduate student so my time is not unlimited, but I will do what I can.
