General information

I'm a PhD student in theoretical physics at the University of Helsinki. I'm performing research on materials science. My main interest in Fedora is also with packages related to my work: molecular dynamics and quantum chemistry. Computational science is computationally intensive (duh!), thus high performance computing (mostly MPI) is also in my interests. I've been a Fedora user ever since the first release in 2003, before that I've used RedHat, Gentoo and a little bit of Debian. I did some systems administration at the university in 2003-2008, after which I became active as a contributor in Fedora. My aim was to improve the status of scientific software in Fedora. Things are now a lot better, so lately I have been cutting myself some slack to work on my thesis.
