Peter Gordon

Hi; I'm Peter Gordon. I'm a 25 year-old GNU/Linux and general Free Software advocate. You can contact me in many ways, as listed below. I maintain packages in Fedora (listed below). Aside from this, I also try to support the Fedora Project in other, more general, ways (such as helping out on the mailing lists, forums, etc.) I maintain a blog about my activities and interests, whose GNU/Linux-related posts are syndicated to Fedora People . My self-introduction mail is archived, as well.

Packages Maintained

I am the primary maintainer of the following Fedora packages:

  • glabels - A program for creating labels and business cards for GNOME
  • gnome-theme-curvylooks - A modern Clearlooks theme using a Bluecurve-like color scheme
  • lucidlife - A simulator for Conway's Game of Life
  • scribes - A simple, yet powerful text editor for the GNOME Desktop
  • scribes-templates - Templates ("Snippets") for the Scribes text editor.

I also comaintain the dejavu-fonts package in Fedora, with NicolasMailhot.

Retired Packages

At one point, I maintained the following packages, but they are since retired:

  • gaim-libnotify - A notification plugin for Gaim using libnotify. Renamed on 2007-05-21 to pidgin-libnotify.
  • gnome-applet-music - A GNOME panel applet for controlling various music players such as Rhythmbox and Banshee. Retired for Fedora 15+ on 2011-06-01 due to cessation of further upstream development.
  • gnome-theme-clearlooks-bigpack - A set of color schemes for the Clearlooks GTK+ theme. Retired for Fedora 9+ on 2007-11-02 due to lack of upstream activity.
  • python-libtorrent - Python bindings to the rb_libtorrent library. Retired on 2007-03-07 since its development was dropped by the upstream authors.

Packaging in Progress

I am currently working on packaging the following for Fedora. If you want to package any of these as well, please contact me to avoid a potentially large amount of duplicated effort. :)
